Terms and Conditions of Use

Last Updated: June 27, 2026

Welcome to our application. These Terms and Conditions of Use ("T&C") govern the access to and use of the mobile application and its related services. Please read this document carefully before completing your registration.

1. Object of the Service and Age Requirements

The application provides a social platform aimed at sharing cultural passions and fostering user interaction through the creation of "Fragments" (summary cards containing predefined multimedia or text elements) and a private messaging system (chat) activated via mutual compatibility ("Match").

Minimum Age Requirement: To register and use the application services, you must be at least eighteen (18) years old. Use of the application by individuals under 18 is strictly prohibited. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

2. Registration and Account Management

To access the application's features, users must create an account by providing the following mandatory data:

  • A valid and active email address.
  • A secure password.
  • A username.

The user is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activities occurring under their account. In case of suspected unauthorized use, the user must immediately notify the administrator at support.appfragments@gmail.com.

3. How "Fragments" Work

The main feature of the application consists of publishing a "Fragment", a card visible in other users' feeds that groups three elements chosen by the user:

  1. One (1) song.
  2. One (1) book.
  3. One (1) movie.

Time Limitation: To ensure the quality of content within the feed, each user can update or modify their Fragment a maximum of once every 24 hours.

4. User-Generated Content (UGC) and Code of Conduct

The user retains ownership of the content included in their Fragment but grants the application a free, limited license to display it within the platform.

It is strictly forbidden to include in Fragments or send via chat any content that is:

  • Offensive, abusive, defamatory, or derogatory.
  • Inciting hatred, violence, or discrimination of any kind.
  • Sexually explicit or pornographic.
  • Infringing upon third-party copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights.
  • Intended for spam, unauthorized advertising, or phishing.

5. Reporting System (Report) and Moderation

The application adopts a zero-tolerance policy towards abusive and harassing content. To protect the community, a dedicated report button is implemented on each Fragment. For disputes or direct communications regarding moderation, you can write to support.appfragments@gmail.com.

If a user considers a Fragment offensive or non-compliant with these T&C, they can report it. The reported content will be sent to the Administrator's moderation queue, who may, at their discretion, take the following actions:

Moderator ActionDescription and Effects
IgnoreThe report is archived if deemed unfounded. The Fragment remains visible.
Remove ContentThe reported Fragment is removed from the feed for violating community guidelines.
Block User (Ban)In severe cases or repeated violations, the user's account is suspended or permanently deleted.

6. Interactions, Matches, and Protection Tools (Blocking)

Users can browse Fragments in the feed and express an action: "Resonates" (indicating strong interest) or "Pass" (to view the next Fragment). The private chat feature activates exclusively when two users mutually press "Resonates" on each other's Fragments (Match mechanic).

To ensure safety and control over their experience, users have two specific blocking tools:

  1. Block Chat: Closes the current conversation with a user permanently, but the removed user remains eligible to reappear in the feed and potentially match again in the future.
  2. Block User: Immediately interrupts any existing chat and applies a permanent restriction. The two users will never be able to view each other's Fragments in the feed or interact again.

7. Account Suspension (Pause) and Deletion

Users have full control over their profile visibility through two options:

  • Pause Account: Temporarily hides the Fragment from other users' feeds. Account data, past matches, and existing chats are preserved, but the profile will not receive new interactions until reactivated.
  • Delete Account: Allows the permanent and irreversible deletion of the account. This action results in the immediate removal of the profile, the Fragment, and all associated data within the platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

The application is provided "as is" and "as available". The Administrator makes no warranties regarding service continuity or the accuracy of user-generated content. The Administrator is not responsible for the behavior of individual users, statements expressed within private chats, or any offline encounters resulting from the use of the application.
